day 11:  something old

the cookies aren’t old, thank goodness.  but star wars is pretty old.  older than me, at least.  john and i were just discussing the draw to it the other night.  i’ve never seen it, but it just keeps on sticking around.  with new merchandise appearing every day.  ethan and norah both love it, and they loved these chocolate sugar cookies i made today with these cookie presses from williams-sonoma.

day 10:  nature

here i go again.  one of my favorite things mother nature dishes out.  SNOW!  love it.  don’t dislike anything about it.  don’t mind driving in it, shoveling it.  love it!

day 9:  inspiring person

there are a lot of inspiring people in my life, one of them my super smart 8.5 year old kayleigh bean.   she is such a wonderful kid (most of the time, lol!), and she inspires me to be a better mom every day.  the poor kid failed her eye test at school last week, and got fitted with some new glasses at target this week, which we picked up today!

day 8:  favorite color

i don’t know that i have a favorite color.  i like a lot of colors, for different things.  but i do sure pick greens a lot.  i also love porcelain blue/tiffany blue.  and gray.

day 7:  something funny

this box was HUGE!  the real something funny here would have been to show you the two small toys that came in this box!  a barbie, and a toy broom set (and the broom was in two pices, needing assembly.  my grandma ordered them for the kids for christmas.  i could not believe the size of this box!  what a waste.  it was bursting open because of the sheer amount of bags of air inside!

day 6:  books

this one was suppose to be super easy!  i have a couple book worms in this house.  BUT, the day got out from under me.  and at 9pm last night with a sleepy baby on me, i remembered!  there were a couple books on the floor i hadn’t gotten to pick up, yet . so there ya go, books, lol!

day 4:  leaves

i know what you’re thinking … leaves?  this does not look like leaves!  but since this was supposed to be for november, and we’re currently buried under a nice thick blanket of snow, i was thinking …. no leaves.  hmm …. well, fall.  then i saw the kids playing kerplunk, and there were marbles falling … leaves, fall, kerplunk.  yeah, that will work, lol!  so there you have it … leaves!  lol

day 3:  happiness

i had a couple front runners for today’s instagram, but i finally settled on this one from this morning.  we’ve been getting a little snow this week and we have more in the forecast.  snow makes me happy.  i love colorado so much.  virginia totally wasn’t for me, i am so thankful that we’ve had the opportunity to live here, and i am really hoping we will get to come back.

day 2:  smile.

poor charlie.  she ate it again today, this time on the coffee table!  i told john that at least she’s got the red hair going for her.  maybe no one will notice all the scars on her face because of it.  poor kid!
