i know, it happens every year, and with 4 kids it happens often, so why am i always so surprised when it sneaks up on me?  kayleigh turned 8 yesterday.  she is such a great kid.  we are lucky to have her.

she was our only baby born in the hospital.  what an experience!  after 9 months of waiting, and 2 days of labor – finally, she was here!

yesterday, at eight.  all grown up.  okay, there is still a lot of growing up to do, but how did that baby up there, turn into this big kid down here …. overnight??

for all of you who have helped me or just gave me some encouragement the last 24 hours with all this blog business, THANK YOU!  it is so stressful, but in the end, i think it may have been a good thing because i am finally learning my way around wordpress!  see my shiny new favicon up in the url bar up there?  uh huh, i did that.  all by myself!  lol.  wooho!  it has been so stressful, and i have a bit to go still, but i am glad to at least have 1 year’s worth of posts back up.   i will be turning my blog into a book this weekend.  don’t want to lose it all again!  those of you who read my blog through feed readers and feedburner emails should come check out all my hard work. 

so, is anyone doing the photo project i posted about last post?  i started yesterday.  hoping to give it more thought, the past couple of days have been hectic.

day 1 (yesterday) was a self portrait.  i was out downtown with the kids all day, and remembered around 4 o’clock that i had planned to do this project.  so i just slapped on some chaptick, and took a pic with my 35mm on my camera at arm’s length.

day two was supposed to be ‘your favorite shoes.’  well, i’m not a shoes girl.  i’m sort of plain jane t-shirt and jeans kinda gal.  simple sneaks are my fav, but i usually wear flats in the summer.  i grabbed these at the gap for $8 the other day.  they’re a little more …. spunky? than i’m used to, but for summer’s sake, i’ll give ‘em a shot.  so, maybe not my favorite shoes, but my newest?  wildest?  am i cheating with this project already, on day two?  lol
